Partying with The Lens Men (and Women)!

The Lens Men and The Eye Site celebrated Chinese New Year in a BIG way this year, inviting vendors, family and friends to toast prosperity, good health and abundance at the 2nd Annual The Lens Men Rock & Roll Party!

February 25, 2008 — Not only was the occasion one to share well wishes with everyone, we also took time to commemorate some very special employees: Sam Tan (The Lens Men - Parkway Parade) and John Tan (The Lens Men - Compass Point) received awards for best customer service, Ben Chan (The Lens Men - The Centrepoint) and Leslie Goh (The Lens Men - Parkway Parade) were lauded for best technical expertise and Jass Kwong (The Lens Men - Parkway Parade) and Andrew Fong (The Eye Site were honoured for their leadership. In addition to a commendation to our head office staff who keep our stores running smoothly, The Lens Men managing director bestowed our very first Long Service Award to no other than John Tan, manager/optician at The Lens Men - Compass Point. For 25 years of leadership, service and invaluable contributions, John received a vacation for two to Japan, paid time off for the trip and $1,000 in spending cash. Thanks to everyone at The Lens Men and The Eye Site for another successful year and all their contributions!

We spent the rest of the evening digging into a great feast of Western, Chinese and of course, auspicious favourites, cha-cha-cha'ing to the sounds of live band The Rocketeers and cheering on another highlight of party -- the lucky draw, which featured prizes very kindly donated by our generous vendors, amounting to more than $10,000 in value. Congratulations to Kang Hean Young (The Lens Men - The Centrepoint) for taking home the grand prize of an OTO massage chair worth $3,888, sponsored by Essilor Singapore and Doriza Lee (The Lens Men - The Centrepoint) for walking away with $2,000 cash, sponsored by ILT!
